Not sure what to say really if I am honest , the last thing you expect to happen on a Sunday afternoon is have Big Tom knocking on your door to tell you that the woman who looked after you ( and arguably put up with) for 14+ years has unfortunately passed away. Christine was not just a child minder to me she was a second mum. She always believed in me when few did, she took time out her day to teach me to read and write when my school failed me, she taught me how to tie my shoelaces, do my tie for my first day at secondary school and helped make me the person I am today. Christine was an incredibly kind and caring lady who always put others before herself, has touched the lives of so many and will be sorely missed. My condolences go out to the Wilkie family during this tough time and even though Christine has gone, the special memories I have with her, Big Tom, Ashley aka “horse” and Carissa will never be forgotten. You will be sorely missed, Love Little Tom and Gaby xxx P.S. Christine when we finally meet again please have ready one of your famous 3 layered lasagnes as god I miss those days.
